It was encouraging to see such a great turnout for this the last meeting of this season. Over 60 guests and members of ASPE and ASSE showed up for this last meeting until the fall season start-up again.

The crowd witnessed the election of Officers for the Cleveland Chapter of ASPE, the awarding of Certificates of Achievement and monies to the Local 55 JATC Apprentice Contest winners, and a informative presentation on ADA compliant plumbing fixtures by Jim Stafford of Zurn Industries.

Our meal which consisted of Filet Mignon, Baked Potato, and Onion Rings was served along with a tasty salad for a well presented and cooked to perfection treat. Another great meal by Harry’s Steakhouse.

Because of the pre-introductions among guest of the Apprentices to the Board Members of the NOH Chapter and set-up of the awards functions, a regular Board Meeting wasn’t held, even though we had a quorum necessary for such.

Our First Vice-president Pat Sugrue was present and brought us up to date on the reconstruction and pitfalls of his burned out homestead. He is living at a hotel presently frantically trying to round up plumbing fixtures for replacements, for the insurance company’s contractor. Our best wishes go out to him and his wife Sheri.

Everyone listened to Jim Stafford’s ADA Compliant presentation intently, and asked questions following the Power Point presentation.

The next Joint ASPE/ASSE function is the Lake County Captain’s Baseball Game on July 12, 2008. Registration forms and ticket requests are elsewhere in this issue of “Connex-It
